  1. Good Evening,

    I ran across your site while trying to find a solution to scrape a table from a website into an excel report that is created everyday. Below is the link to the website where the table is located, all I am trying to do is to extract the data from the “CVG Departures Per Time period” and “CVG Arrivals Per Time period” tables. I know it can be done because I did it using the “=importhtml” feature of google docs. I like your add-in because it is contained within Excel and doesn’t require extra steps using google docs or VBA.

    I am very amateur when it comes to all of this and am looking for a way to use your tool to get that data. I tried using the add-in but wasn’t sure what to put in the “regex” area so it wasn’t able to be used correctly.

    Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    1. If you want the CVG Departures try this formula:

      =GetElementByRegex(“http://www.flightstats.com/go/Stats/airportScorecard.do?airport=%28CVG%29+Cincinnati%2FNorthern+Kentucky+Airport%2C+Cincinnati%2C+OH%2C+US&airportQueryDate”;
      “<(?:.*)white-space:nowrap;(?:.*)>(?:(?:.|\n)*?)((?:[0-9].*?-.*?[a-z][a-z]))(?:(?:.|\n)*?)</td>”;
      10)

      Just change the 10 to 11,12…17 to get the next timed departures. I am sure I could have made the regex a little shorter or easier to read. Although you do not need VBA to scrape data with this tool it does requiring learning regular expressions. Anyway feel free to reach out via the PROFFESSIONAL HELP page for future requests, even ones far more complicated.

  2. When I Load Scape HTML Add In, I Get An Error.
    “Could Not Load An Object Because It Is Not Availaible On this Machine”
    Most Of The Program Works Correctly Except Automatic Updating.
    I Get The Same Error Message. Then Run-time Error ‘424: Object Required.

    Public Sub ShowAutomaticUpdating(ByVal control As IRibbonControl)
    Dim au As AutomaticUpdating
    Set au = New AutomaticUpdating “ERROR LINE HERE”
    au.Show
    End Sub

    I Am Running Excel 2010 X64
    Any Help Would Be Appeciated.
    Thanks

    1. It may be the ListView object on the AutomaticUpdating userform. Try creating a new form and dragging in a ListView control. If it throws a similar error as “Library not registered” try searching the web as to how to register the library with ListView.
